Dr. Scott’s Tools and Insights for a Better You!
I’m a life-long learner and am constantly listening to or reading about ways we can improve our health and live our best lives. There’s a lot of information out there to wade through, so I’m excited to be able to share something that I’ve come across, and then further researched that strikes me as something that is simple and easy to access to help you live a better life.
This week I am very excited to share with you a new technology that dramatically accelerates healing of injured tissues and wounds. Starting in 2019 Gladiator therapeutics has been developing medical devices that utilize a unique patented Far Infrared technology. These devices are easy to use, portable, and do not require a power source. They emit no heat and have no know side effects. The treatments are safe and effective and the devices can be worn 24/7 without risk of overexposure.
The gladiator devices have several designs that allow for easy application to different body parts including devices specific to the shoulder, elbow/ankle, wrist/hand, knee, back, and a blanket that can be applied anywhere on the body. A novel ceramic technology is imbedded in the devices which emits the Far Infrared frequency resulting in the dramatic healing properties. The patient simply places the device over the treatment area to accelerate healing.
You’re probably thinking this is too good to be true and does this actually work? This is a great question and one that I personally had until I saw the research behind it. Dr. Frederick R Carrick, Professor of Neurology at the College of Medicine at UCF and his team have been researching the application of these ceramic Far Infrared devices in several different models. Their published study on accelerated wound healing has attracted a lot of attention which showed statistically significant results with an increase in the migration of stem cells into the injury site resulting in faster healing times. Their research is published in the Life Cell Biology and Tissue Engineering Journal (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34575027/). Practitioners have started to apply the power of these devices with their patients and in one case study it was showed to heal a post-surgical wound, that was estimated to take 3 months to heal, in just 6 weeks. The Gladiator technology is being used to speed healing to any soft tissue injury, post-surgical wounds, and inflammatory conditions with great success.
The UCF College of Medicine research team is conducting ongoing research on the use of the Gladiator ceramic blanket in animal models of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury and wound care. Their recent study conducted on Parkinson’s disease in mice showed significant improvements in motor performance with the application the ceramic technology. What was truly amazing to me was that in this study they demonstrated that the diseased mice that were exposed to the Far Infrared frequencies were shown to actually grow back new neurons in the area of the brain that is diseased in Parkinson’s. Their study was published in Current Issues in Molecular Biology https://doi.org/10.3390/cimb45120613 . This is absolutely incredible and shows significant promise for the future of novel therapies for neurogenerative disorders.
